Create Video Lectures and Web Tours

Camtasia LogoCamtasia Studio gives you the power to easily record your screen, PowerPoint presentations, voice, and Web camera video to create compelling video tutorials, lectures, and web tours for the web or your D2L virtual classroom.

Request a copy of Camtasia by completing a Faculty Tech Support Request Form. A member of the Learning Technologies Department will then schedule a training session with you.

Using PowerPoint and Camtasia to Create a Video Lecture

  • This tutorial shows you how to use Camtasia to add audio to your PowerPoint lecture and offer it in a format that works on the web.

Please note that you may have a slightly newer version of Camtasia than the one shown in this tutorial. If so, follow this tutorial until you reach the section that instructs you how to produce your video. At that point, you should refer to the instructions under Produce your Video below.

Creating a Web Tour

  • Create a Web Tour - In this lesson, you'll learn how to create a basic web tour. Web tours are useful for showing your students how to access and/or use certain online resources.
